In a world of I-phones and social media what is the purpose of a television? Television has become the mere device to bring back memories for people. For instance every morning one of the first channels I encounter is a network called Antenna TV. This network airs old shows such as I Love Lucy, The Joey Bishop Show, and many others.
Now mind you I have no problem with these shows. However, they do not display our current values. In other words men are not the only bread winners and women have more options than being housewives. Another thing we must acknowledge is the fact that African-Americans (especially the men) are in better positions than they were in those days in time. Times have changed and we all need to accept it.
Call me a hypocrite if you may but I feel that the only people that watch these shows are old, white conservatives that are afraid of the change that has taken it's affect in our society.
Thank God for the generation that we're living in. We are he one's that are going to create more networks that will put antenna's out of business. It's a so far so good rating from me. Well, that's about all folks.
